Hello! This is my first time doing Chocolate Box, and I'm excited for the possibilities. Thank you in advance for whatever you decide to go with. All the fandoms I've requested are pretty small, so I'll be genuinely happy with whatever you create for me.

This journal is pretty empty, but if you want to read some old letters I've written, you can find them over on my livejournal. A while back, I also made a list of my top 100(ish) favorite tropes, kinks, and plot devices, if you're interested in that sort of thing.

OVERVIEW:

I'm requesting fic or art for all of my fandoms and would be super happy with either. Any of the specific prompts I mention with my pairings below are just suggestions because I have a lot of fun posing "what if" scenarios all day long, but if something takes you in another direction, you should feel good about running with it!

Things I Always Love:

• Tales from the Department of Backstory
  
• Filling in intra-canon gaps and other outtake-type situations

• Structured vignettes, like 5 things +1 stories or 100-word drabbles that are connected but each could stand on its own

If you've come here because we matched on one of my Babysitters Club requests, this show is so so so great! It's about the first female agent of the Pinkerton Detective Agency and her partnership with the founder's son. It's on Netflix in the US, and you should check it out!)

Things I Love About This Canon:

• Old timey ripped from the headlines plots
  
• People (esp Kate Warne and John Bell) being underestimated at your peril
  
• Complicated family relationships (aka: Will's daddy issues)
  
• Reluctant partners growing to become super close
  
• Kate Warne is a competent badass (in real life, too!) who still sometimes gets scared
  
• The complicated politics of Reconstruction era South

My Requests:

Will Pinkerton & Kate Warne ✩ Will Pinkerton/Kate Warne ✩ Will Pinkerton/Kate Warne & Allan Pinkerton ✩ Kate Warne & Allan Pinkerton
I was so reticent about Will at the start of the series, but I love the way the relationship between him and Kate grows over the course of just a season. I also love how highly Allan thinks of her and isn't afraid to toss her into the fray because he knows she can handle it. I eventually came to ship Will/Kate, there's a lot of chemistry there, but I was reticent at the beginning because I love them as platonic partners, too. Basically anything you give me for these three in this super tiny fandom will please me.

Other thoughts:

• The first season ends on a pretty terrible cliffhanger, and it wasn't picked up for a second season (that I know about). What happens to Will after the gunfight? How does Kate handle it? What about Allan?
  
• Maybe Kate and Will get over themselves and get together. How? What pushes them to take the leap? How does Allan handle it?
  
• What is Allan's thought process in asking Kate to come partner with Will? They obviously stay in direct communication, what are their telegrams like?
  
• If you're not in for shippiness, maybe a case of the week? Or the two of them hanging out, being bored in between cases?
  
• Something smutty set after that boxing episode? Swoon. (Also, it's hilarious that Kate doesn't even blink when Will pulls his shirt off in the middle of the bar.)
  
• So many trite romantic tropes work for me when it comes to Will/Kate. Everyone things we're dating but we're not, we're dating and keeping it a secret except everyone knows, some kind of forced proximity of being handcuffed together, pretending to be married for a case, sharing a bed totally platonically but not, huddling for warmth (there's way more snow in St. Louis than I imagined there'd be!), etc.
  
• IDK, I just want Kate to be happy and have all the good things.

Kate Warne & John Bell
I wish the show had made more use of John Bell! He's such an interesting character, always willing to be useful even though other people in town treat him like a second class citizen. Not afraid to cross the line in service of justice when he has to.

Other thoughts:

• How in the world did Allan set up that housing situation for Kate? What was that conversation like?
  
• Does John and Kate's relationship change after John implies that he killed Old Pap? What does she think about his tactics?
  
• I'm always up for John helping out on a case! His skills are so underutilized.
  
• For something lighthearted, Kate has her trunk full of costumes and disguises. Maybe John catches her getting into one of her disguises? Or maybe she asks him for help? Especially if it's still early on in their relationship!
  
• At the start of the series, what does John think about this lady who's come to live there? They have quite the first (and second) introduction!
  
• What about after the events of the season 1 finale? Does Kate lean on John as a friend when things go bad? What do other people in town think about that?

Things I Love About This Canon:

• Girls being awesome and supporting each other
  
• Coming of age/figuring yourself out
  
• Friendship
  
• Nostalgia

My Requests:

Janine Kishi/Charlie Thomas
Even though we don't see them together much in canon, I like the idea of them growing up next door to each other for much of their lives and being vaguely in each other's orbit turning into something more.

Other thoughts:

• Art for any of my fic would be lovely! There is a severe shortage of artists in the fandom.
  
• Maybe they get together and are sneaking around at first because they don't want their sisters knowing until it's more serious.
  
• Maybe they bump into each other later in life away from Stoneybrook and get together reminiscing about home.
  
• I appreciate all the different versions of get together for them. I'm also 100% all in on this pairing and am happy to dispense with that and skip right to established relationship domesticity.
  
• There's also a shortage of higher rated stuff in this fandom, and I'd be happy to see any kind of get together or established relationship smut of any kind (art or fic).

Claudia Kishi & Mallory Pike ✩ Claudia Kishi & Jessi Ramsey
I really, really like friendships that are left relatively unexplored in canon. I'd love to see a glimpse of them, either set in or around canon, aged up to present day, or even a flashback (since Claudia used to babysit Mallory).

Other thoughts:

• Claudia bonding with either Mallory or Jessi over their creative interests. Maybe they work on a joint project where Mallory writes and Claudia illustrates/Jessi dances and Claud costumes her. (A sketch of that would be lovely!) Maybe they commiserate over a creative block they're going through at the same time. Maybe they lose track of each other in high school but end up running into each other in their professional circles later in life.
  
• Claudia bonding with Mallory over feeling the odd one out in her family
  
• Claudia bonding with Jessi about her best friend leaving town
  
• Mallory coming home from Riverbend over a holiday break and things are weird (I have this image in my head of Mallory and Claudia both trying to escape a wacky Kristy-mandated holiday thing over winter break.)

Charlie Thomas & Richard Spier ✩ Elizabeth Thomas & Richard Spier ✩ Mary Anne Spier & Sharon Schafer
I'm so fascinated by these families who are all tied up with each other in some way or another and would be interested in seeing either how this plays out pre-canon/during canon, or how the relationships persist (or not) over time.

Other thoughts:

• Richard seems like such a good man. Maybe he's a bit of a father figure to Charlie (or at least a responsible grown adult man in proximity) as he's navigating being a teenager without a dad who's thrust into growing up faster than he ought to? Does Richard teach him to shave? Answer awwwwwkward questions about girls? Help him shovel the driveway? Do Charlie's feelings about Richard change at all when Watson enters the picture?
  
• What is Richard and Elizabeth's friendship like? There are so many pre-canon hard times, with Alma dying and Patrick leaving. How do they lean on each other? Does their relationship survive in the better times? Do they stay in touch when the Thomases move across town?
  
• How does Mary Anne learn to have a mother figure in her life? We see a little of it in canon, but not much. Does she appreciate it, or does she feel weird about her own mother that she didn't get to know? Does the relationship change or grow when Dawn goes away? Are Mary Anne and Sharon close as adults? So much opportunity for angst, but also happiness there, too!

Watson Brewer/Elizabeth Thomas Brewer ✩ Watson Brewer & Charlie Thomas
Oh, Watson! He's kind of a nerd, but he's so generous and seems to be a nice man, and I love him.

Some thoughts:

• I'm up for all of the Watson/Elizabeth meet cutes and get togethers. It's such a whirlwind! How does Waston manage to win the trust of a woman who's been through so much shit with such a crummy guy? What are their dates like? What's it like the night they decide to get married on a short timetable? What do they look like as an old, married couple with a billion grandkids?
  
• What kind of fatherly (or not?) relationship does Watson have with Charlie? Charlie is the oldest, practically out of high school when Watson marries Elizabeth. Is it hard for him to accept him or his money or his help? What kind of relationship do they have later on as adults?

Things I Love About These Canons:

• Friendships as central to pretty much everything
  
• They're funny and mostly lighthearted but not afraid to steer into serious topics
  
• Female characters who know who they are and what they want
  
• Aesthetics, whether the cotton candy set and costume design of Pushing Daisies, quick cuts to flashbacks in B99, or the detailed outfit descriptions of the BSC

My Requests:

Claudia Kishi (Baby-sitters Club - Ann M. Martin) & Amy Santiago (B99) & Gina Linetti (B99)
I saw this in the crossover tag set and was so intrigued! Amy Santiago is one of my favorite characters on tv right now, there are so many possibilities for what they're all doing together.

Some thoughts:

• How do they meet? Is Claudia living in Brooklyn and needs to report a crime? Is she someone's neighbor? Does she open a gallery near the precinct? Is she working with Gina on one of her many shenanigans and stops by the precinct to pick something up? Maybe Claudia is broke and puts up a flyer in her apartment building and somehow ends up babysitting for Gina's baby? The possibilities seem endless once you start thinking about them.
  
• I feel like Amy would remind Claudia a little bit of her sister, Janine. Would she and Gina laugh about having a type-A achiever in their lives?
  
• Honestly, if you nominated this, feel free to run with it! I would love to see whatever you had in mind.

Ned (Pushing Daisies) & Claudia Kishi (Baby-sitters Club - Ann M. Martin) ✩ Ned (Pushing Daisies)/Claudia Kishi (Baby-sitters Club - Ann M. Martin)
This is another one that hadn't ever occurred to me until I saw it in the tagset, and now I'm totally smitten with the idea. Take this in whatever direction strikes your fancy, from lighthearted to PWP to a bit darker!

Other thoughts:

• I'm totally fine handwaving the timelines to make this happen. Adults would be preferable, especially if you're going for something higher rated (and I'm down with smut), but I would also be ok with a younger Ned somehow stumbling on a middle school aged Claudia if you're taking it in an & direction. Cracky BSC time warp action would also be fun!
  
• Does Claudia stumble in one day and become addicted to Ned's pies? Does he somehow manage to hire her to draw a flyer for him?
  
• Is this before Chuck? After? A stand in for dealing with touch starvation while she's still around?
  
• Does someone close to Claudia die and she tries to get Ned to intervene? (Note: I'm ok with some angst, but please keep it to a similar tone as the show.)
